Jeff has over 35 years of experience leading and coaching results-focused continuous improvement through the deployment of lean tools and methodologies. His areas of expertise include healthcare (hospital systems, outpatient support, payer), manufacturing, supply chain management, military command & operations, logistics and industrial engineering disciplines. He was trained by the Shingijutsu consulting group, the originators of the Toyota Production System. He has personally facilitated well over 500 lean events at every level of organizations. He has led the lean transformation of healthcare delivery systems, military command and deployment organizations, traditional manufacturing organizations (both union and non-union) and supply chain operations, as well as facilitated team-based integration of lean transformation across multiple sites. Jeff recently coached the transformation of Mayo Clinic Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology aligning strategy-to-action to team-based daily improvement, and coaching leaders at all levels on leading breakthrough change. Prior to this assignment he coached the development of a model logistics system for the US Army. Jeff’s main passions are coaching leaders and teams at all levels to integrate continuous improvement methodologies into daily life, and connecting every team member at every level to purpose and strategy.
